Claim Map and Location
Notice
Please see the attached
road map
for the location and directions to this mining claim.
This is a very nice mining property for gold
prospectors who prefer to work in or near easy, shallow water.
It is an excellent property for 2-inch, 3-inch and 4-inch
suction dredges (the creek might support 5-inch dredges), or
portable high-banker-dredge combos. There is great access to the
property from the road which follows along the creek.
There is also a large beautiful shaded road-side
pull-off area near the bottom-end of the claim which
provides a fantastic
camping opportunity with lots of room to spread out! And
there is a smaller, excellent RV or
tent-camping
area, along with more road-access to the water, perched just
over the creek just a little further upstream. An
old road to the
creek is also located near the bottom-end of the claim.
This place is incredibly beautiful!
PROSPECTS: This mining property is located in a
historically-rich section of Josephine County. Big winter storms
have been eroding away
natural
streambed material, exposing gold-trapping
root structures
all along this claim. This creates fantastic opportunities for
underwater sniping (with mask & snorkel), gold panning and
small-dredging activity, not to mention what you might find with
a metal detector! This claim is a high-banker's dream come true!
Besides what serious miners could do with this claim, this is a
very nice quiet and somewhat secluded location where a person
could just relax, or beginners could get started in a mining
environment that is not too difficult.
Here is what
Craig Colt has to say about this mining claim.
